Born in Brooklyn, New York, 1944


Ann Beam currently lives and works in West Bay Ojibwa Reserve, Manitoulin Island, Ontario.

In addition to painting and printmaking, she also works in ceramics and has published three books.

Ann Beam's works exhibit images of the spiritual power of women, using complex sets of representations and roles that characterize womanhood and motherhood. ... We shape ourselves and our destiny through the images we hold ...,
