William Ronald

Born in Stratford, Ontario, 1926 – 1998

William Ronald is an acclaimed Canadian abstract artist and founder of the Painters Eleven (Toronto, 1953). Painters Eleven was a group of Canadian avant-garde abstract painters that helped to establish Modern art in Canada.

- Member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts
- A student of Jock Macdonald and Hans Hofmann
- Founder of Painters Eleven (pioneer movement of modern and abstract art in Canada)
