John Bennett (1919-2013) began his career in art at age six and continued to paint for eight decades. After working as an infantryman in WWII, John returned as a teacher to Northern Secondary School and retired in 1982 as coordinator of Visual Arts. John was the first Solo Show of a living artist at the Art Gallery of Ontario. In the 1960s and 70s he showed at the Pollack Gallery.
